l totally agree with you .In fact the patient must find the best execise to suit one's need to be effective eg if it is back pain one has to lie flat on the back on a hard bed during physical therapy. Thank you.

i have chronic ankle and foot injuries, and exercise tends to make it worse a lot of the time.

For some people with 'minor' aches and pains this may work---but for people with severe FMS and other diseases---exercise is a good way to put someone into the hospital...It IS NOT a solution for many people with chronic pain disorders; and should not be suggested as such-- to everyone--as major problems can arise

I recently bought an elliptical trainer and i do feel better. I have fibromyalgia. IT may be tough to start but it does work in the long run. The article forgot to mention it even helps reduce stress. Stress can also cause pain to be worse.

I am going to print this information out for my mother because she does not think exercise has anything to do with reducing her back pain. ;)

I like this information very much. It helped to motivate me to try exercise even if it is only a little 10 minutes or so a day.

i had a 4 level posterior cervical fusion 9 yrs. ago and am wired together with 15 screws/plates. Exercise has been my miracle cure.. swimming, yoga, bicycle riding daily has erased my pain and leg spasms. A life possible without muscle relaxers or pain meds.. My spine dr.s are in total disbelief.
