    I have constant arthritis pain but keep active and stretching. When I take 3 tablets (600 mg) at night I sleep better at night and awaken with less stiffness.

    thanku for taking time from your undoubtedly important schedule to put this info out . I am at the threshhold of discovering if the pain is too much or am i faking it . Don't believe I am but the mind can play tricks so I'm thinking if i should file for social security or try to tough it out till i can no longer sit for any type of time or in that fact stand for any length of time . still young but have many injuries hard to function i keep meds down to a minimum they constipate me they get me lathargic and for some reason sleeplessnes [go figure] clouded judgement . 5herniated discs lumbar spine /1 compresion fracture cervic spine /coax bent 2/herniated discs in neck /thorasic spine has degeneration knee surgery due for replacement soon tendenitis/bursitis rt shouler /arthritis in hands for about 17years dont know why but it has always been there not a cry baby but see a lot more people in better shape than me collecting ssd bene's

    Dear Dr. Levy, Nice work on pain med concepts - I agree both theoretically and from 25 years of experience. Moving forward into narcotic usage - after years of interrogating even my most ardent chronic pain patients - none of them benefits from more than 8 Percocet per day, no matter what they ask for. They all feel that Methadone is more effective and less toxic to the liver, but there's no immediacy to the experience. (Most practitioners know all this ...) so thanks for the articles Frank

    Nice article. very informative. I was also looking for some natural pain relievers which would be safer than ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Anyone has idea about this?
