Thank you for writing about this...I've had to get on disability myself...in addition I went to the county "welfare" for medicaid (for aged, blind and disabled)...I've had it for about 3 months and now they are taking it away from me, saying that according to their records I am neither disabled, blind or aged. I am disabled. I have papers, signed by a judge, saying I am disabled. Not only for chronic pain due to osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel and fibromyalgia, but also for major depressive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, type 2 bipolar disorder....It's a relief when you win your case, but still, they will try to take it away from you so don't be surprised. Just make sure all your papers are in order........thanks again...

Finding a doctor that is willing to listen and treat would be a blessing. My pain specialist put me on long acting Morphine he said that it was the way to treat my condition. After 1 1/2 I had both my feet operated on deep nerve problems. well the operation was a blessing but for some reason my morphine was'nt as effective anymore. I told my pain doctor and he said good we will stop all the morphine and opiods with know explanation. you are at the mercy of their whim at any given time. As I have Cervical stenious and osteoarthritius along with fybromyalgia I can't tell you how hurt and abandened I feel. I feel like I have know say in my own treatment. Why did he not switch to another pain med and see if that worked maybe I had a tolerance buildup to the Morphine. All I know was it gave me my life back for a short while. And now I am back to square 1 without a doctor soon that isn't afraid to treat with opiods if they help, Rita in RI

I went through all the things you did for my medical as I wait for SSDI I do not know how long I will keep it. I have all the same conditions as you except bipolar depression. All of it is enough to make you want to commit suiicide. And lose all of your self worth, pride that is what I have a hard time with. I cry now because I feel so degraded at the doctors, pharmacy even people I know. They think I don't want to work God if I only could....Rita
